Oliver #190 Universal Scroll Sander Serial # 98377, 1967.

Hey,
My boys and I just picked this up yesterday and I did a quick small kine restro today while they were making up the schoolwork they missed yesterday. Big thanks to Jim Roche OWWMer from NC who gave me the heads up on this little cream puff. This came from a beautiful shop, that ordered it new, so I am the second owner. The machine wasn't rusty so I almost didn't know what to do. Since it had been repainted once in its short life to match the rest of the machines in that shop, I gave it a quick Oliver teal paint job and put her back together.
This one came with original 1/2", 3/4" & 1 1/2" steel forms w/ micarta tips/bearings. I am really glad to get those because I have another one of these machines, a sad b*st*rd awaiting restoration and missing all its forms, and I had never seen the original ones. This will definately help me restore the other one. Also came with original manual and bill of sale. The serial number is about 1967 but it was delivered in 1969. The rubber on the motor pulley is badly checked and Ive ordered a replacement. A friend told me replacing those will be like "putting a girdle on an elephant". Sounds like fun, yea? In the meantime shes usable and ready to roll.
Thanks Jim!
