Comments:
Purchased this recently from a guy whose father used it in business. The original fence is gone. I was provided a PM fence and will drill holes to make it work. The base is an enclosed cast iron type(a rough casting), as opposed to the other D&W shapers listed. As others have noted the spindle and housing are stout. I'm very happy with it, in spite of the 1" size.

The spindle is milled for CCW rotation and has at least 4" under the nut, with 2 3/4" travel. The motor is a Reuland Electric 1hp dual voltage, which seems small for the 1" spindle but I suspect that it is equivilent to a more modern 2hp motor. We'll see.

I will put this to work once I get cutters and top off the oil. (rust and all)

(edit: corrected motor manufacturer)
