I recently acquired this jointer. As the other entries note this machine has a 3/4" plate steel top. I think this entire machine is made of plate steel and suspect that the stand is original. I hesitated buying it due to its uniqueness. My guess is this was built in the late fifties and was a low end jointer. However, I have been very happy with it so far.

Four knife cutter head, Reuland Electric motor (unknown hp, suspect 1 1/2 hp). The beds are each 35 inches long and look reversable. This gives a total length of 72" not counting the infeed adjustment handle.
