I got this drill press in Phila. Pa. I was working in a 80 year old, 50 story building remodeling the first floor. This building had 4 levels below street level. I was exploring the unused lower levels and found a maintenance shop 3 levels down near the giant old coal boilers, that's where I found this drill press. The 80 year old little freight elevator to get equipment to the lower levels hadn't worked in decades. The building no longer had a maintenance crew, so the drill press had been sitting in this sub basement for decades unused. Since the elevator didn't work it would have to be carried up three flights of steps, so there it sat. Because part of the remodel we were doing involved the first basement the company we were working for got the little freight elevator working and I released the drill press from it's years of captivity in the dark corner in the bowels of the ancient building. And it's lived happily in my basement since about 2005.
