I picked this up through a local on-line ad. On the afternoon that I was preparing to start restoring an older Delta 4" jointer, wishing that it was 6", this popped up for sale. So I ran out and got it, replaced the 4", and spent a week doing the restoration on the 6" instead. It'll be a daily user for quick jobs, rather than my 8" long-bed that sits in a corner while not in use. The photos below show the jointer in three states: the condition in which the seller (to me) bought it last year, the condition he sold it to me (cleaned up machined surfaces and rewired), and my final restored condition. I have many additional before and after pics of parts and assemblies if interested, just shoot me an email.
EDIT May 2009: The machine has been completely restored, with many parts such as welded base, proper dust chute, and vintage motor located and installed. Disclosure: the machine had no serial number tag when purchased, but a replacement tag from a twin machine was also obtained and installed with the new parts. Thus, though the serial number of 42-xxxx implies 1946 manufacture, the actual born-on-date is not known.
