I acquired this planer from the OWWM.com classifieds.Tony Cruz was the first to answer
the ad and i was the second. After Tony went to look at the planer he decided that it needed to much work and passed it up.The owner then contacted me to asked if i was still interested in the planer and i told him that was indeed.I contacted Tony to see why he
had passed on buying it and he told me that the planer had been sitting outside in the mud for the last few years and was in pretty bad condition.I decided to go take a look at it as i had to go to Philly on some business anyway and the planer was in south Jersey near Atlantic City. The planer was sitting outside in four inches of mud, uncovered to all the elements just as Tony described it to me.Since i already own a 24" B-8 with no grinder i decided to buy this one for the grinder and make it a parts machine. After getting the planer home and really taking a good look at it ,i decided that it wasn't in that bad of condition. All the parts were there and it has the smallest footprint for a 30" planer that i have ever seen.I am now in the process of cleaning and rebuilding the planer from the ground up.It has a Westinghouse 15 H.P.,220/440volt,3475RPM,3phase, direct drive electric motor. The cutterhead is a gibbed 4 knife, round saftey head. The planer has a two speed gear box with oil bath that produces 20 and 40 board feet pre minute. It weighs 3300 LBS. and takes up floor space of 63" by 45".
