After doing a full restore on a 16" WT BS I was sold on WT! This little Walker Turner 14" wood & metal bandsaw showed up on ebay for a song so I just had to have it. It was in fairly decent shape but cosmetically looked terrible. Manufactured in 1951, it came with the CI base and belt guard. Unfortunately it was missing the original gearbox and only has a single speed pulley setup. A bit disappointing, it will only be cutting wood so we'll live with it.
It got a full restore consisting of a sandblast, paint and bearings just like the 16" Walker Turner. I added a Kreg fence and a Inca miter gage as the originals were missing. It takes it's place next to it's big brother the 16" WT.
The interesting thing about this BS is it has aluminum doors, I've never heard of a WT BS with aluminum doors much less seen one! The first picture is from the seller, the second shows it disassembled. I had my BL pick it up and store it till the wife could retrieve it on a trip home to upstate New York. She was a pretty good sport and only complained a little!
