Photo of a 6inch Crescent Jointer purchased at a garage sale last year for $25.00 .

Serial #54013 Bed OAL 401/2 Ball bearing 4 knife safety head . Pat. Dec -14 -1909 Pat. Jan -14 -1913 Pat. Sept-21-1919 on head. No Crescent builders plate. Was on a two by four stand with a crappy flat black brush painted finish. A light coating of rust and a ring from a coffee mug on the bed . complete tear down ,strip finish ,sharpen knives, paint, reassemble, lube job, new stand , Power Twist drive belt. Runs great , I also made a Lexan head guard not shown in photo. The only problem I have is casting #3050 had the arm that locks the fence broken off , the piece and the locking knob are missing . I am going to fab a whole new part from steel some day. Can you give me an idea when my machine was built?
