Baldor SP - 103MD 10" Pedestal Grinder, 1.5 HP, 1800 RPM. After Restoration 1-3-08.

Well here is our first resto of the year, the before shot was posted here;

Nice easy restoration, short and simple to match my attention span right now. New paint and NTN 6206ZZ bearings from Accurate and we're ready. I added the mobile base, MDF shelf and Wolverine tool rests for grinding lathe tools. Since this one was missing it's original tool rests, that worked out well and this is our new lathe tool grinder to go with our new lathes. Again I love the way the lights come on with the grinder! I also added the fancy blue, Norton 3X SG, 8" x 1", 80 Grit, 30% ceramic wheels, from the nice folks at Packard Woodworks. These are the $50 dollar ones, not the $105 dollar ones, but I must be the poorest man in America now. They were worth it; I have never used a wheel that cuts as fast and cool as these.
