One of my first restoration projects, restored in 2006, and my first lathe. It got me hooked on OWWM and turning wood.
I picked this sorry looking lathe up on an online auction. You can see from the first pic it was in pretty bad shape. I stripped it down to bare metal and covered all the pits from rust with bondo, and then gave it a nice paint job.
The tailstock wheel was broke and I was lucky enough to find an original replacement. The tool rest was also missing and I found one of those too (not shown in the pic). I put new bushings in the headstock, built a stand for it and made a jackshaft for more speed control.
Its a great old lathe and sees a lot of use.
