This photo was supplied by the mill's owner, John Finch. Here's what he had to say:
"I have two Strickland Mills. One in service and one in pieces, but complete. The one in service is an old cross tie mill. It originally had two blocks. It is a friction feed, using a large wheel and two smaller wheels that were originally of fiber construction. I have seen similar setups in sawmill books, but nothing about a Strickland mill. All of the individual parts have a specific number and the name Strickland Bros. Tuscaloosa Ala. as part of the casting."
