This saw came from the sash and door shop known as the Woodworks of Renfrew in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada. The contents of the shop was recently acquired by Vernon Fairhead of Shawville, Quebec, with whose permission these photos are posted. The saw was installed in 1905 following a fire that destroyed an earlier building, and removed Oct 31, 2007. It is a model 226, made at the Hamilton factory, with tilting table, and having an auxiliary shaft on the side for boring (or ?). It runs with babbitt bearings and a flat belt. Paint is original and no rust.
