Machine was saved by the seller, as his boss was taking it to the dump, because he felt it was "worth a buck". I gave him a $125.
It was slightly dirty but intact except for a missing guard spring and a missing small gear on one of the elevation knobs. It came with the owners manual and a catalog but both documents are available alraedy in the Sprunger section.
It had a crack in one of the front table dovetail ways that occurred when someone tried to change elevation without loosening the set screws. They put a vise grip of sorts, based on the distinct marks on the locking stud shaft, and turned until they drove it into the casting and bowed it in. Fortunately I have a good friend who repaired it easily with a beautiful weld.
The table is a Sprunger, but not for a jointer, and currently a crude wooden top is adding stability. The motor is not original but works fine. As you see it is the result of soap, water and compressed air.
Special thanks to Brian Kachadurian and Dale Fehlback for the advice and education.
