Prior owner of this saw extended into a 36" scroll saw. See picture. He needed the extra throat for a job that nothing else he had would do. Modified it and said it worked quite well for years.
I took it back to original configuration. New bearings in motor, some work on the crosshead, new bronze bushing on the crosshead, new power cord and switch. It's only a 1/3rd motor, so it was not going to get a mag starter. Paint is light machine gray, rattle can. It did not have the bolts clamping it to the stand. Some all thread with a dog leg bent in it and wing nuts solved that.
