This was part of a home made machine in a garage of a house my father bought in 1968. The machine had this arbor, with the wire wheel shown, another arbor with two grinding wheels, a table saw blade that didn't go up or down, but it looked like an old cartoon buzz saw. That blade also exists today. I believe it's about 16", there was also an old drill press of some sort. All these ran, at the flip of a knife switch (also still existing) AT THE SAME TIME in different parts of the machine. There was a shaft and pulley/belt system that did all this. My father was all too happy to dismantle this...it was dangerous.

This still runs free and smooth! One corner of the cast base is broken off, but welding for 30 years taught me how to fix such a minor problem.

This is a Goodell-Pratt "Toolsmiths" arbor...the best description I can give.
