I bought the machine in Bloomington, Indiana in 1981 or 1982 from a woodworker who was closing down his shop. He told me that he got it out of a factory it in the upper peninsula of Michigan some years before when it still had a belt drive. I used to have the belt forks for it (I hung them from the back table for the photograph) but have since passed them on to someone else who can use them. The upper belt guard still has a tag from the Simonds Saw and Steel Company, 3323 W. Addison St, Chicago 18, IL, which must have been where they once got blades for it.

Bought in 1981 or '82. I mounted it on wood to get the table up to a more comfortable height.

upper wheel adjust. Anybody know what is supposed to attach to the U-shaped mount on the front?
