Acquired this grinder at a garage sale in Tulsa Oklahoma. The tag says "The good mechanic knows" United States Tool Co. 60 cycle, 1 phase, 3 amps, 110 volts, load rpm 3450. The man i bought this from said it was his Grandfathers. It looks like this grinder was designed to use the side of the grinding stone since the front of the stone is covered by the guard. This grinder is super smooth running, it takes about 5 seconds after you turn it off before you can tell the motor is slowing down.
