I obtained this jointer head in central Illinois several years ago as part of a group of items. The head is round and has 4 blades. The head is 12" long and 3.5" in diameter. There are 8 gibs for each cutter head, each with one screw. The shafts on each end of the head are 11.75" and 5.5". Each shaft is in diameter. "S J Shimer & Sons" and "Milton Pa." are stamped in one of the knife slots.

Three "patented" dates are stamped on one end of the head.

??? 22nd 1899 - The month couldn't be read

192449 is also stamped in one end of the head. Each of these numbers was stamped individually. Serial Number?
