More Details of the previous post.
This is a working patternmaker's lathe in a patternmaker shop. This lathe is used for large turnings and also has an outboard capacity. The outboard tool rest can be seen in one of the photos. Its a smooth running lathe with Babbitt bearings. It doesn't get used often, but it does offer a capacity to the shop that enables it to take on some larger scale work.

Comments: Recent work from this lathe from a plastic now commonly used in patternmaking. Note tools on the right to give scale to the size of this turning.
