More Details of the previous post.
This is a working patternmaker's lathe in a patternmaker shop. This lathe is used for large turnings and also has an outboard capacity. The outboard tool rest can be seen in one of the photos. Its a smooth running lathe with Babbitt bearings. It doesn't get used often, but it does offer a capacity to the shop that enables it to take on some larger scale work.
