Good old Delta Homecraft 11" lathe I picked up on Ebay. I drove two hours each way to get it and started on it the minute I pulled in the driveway. I took it down to the bones and polished, sanded primed and painted the whole lathe. The old Timken bearings were ok for the time being although I plan to replace them with sealed ones later on. It was missing the 12" tool rest and the steady rest and the banjo is not original to this lathe although it is a Delta banjo. I have been told I can replace this with a nice cam action banjo and thats what I plan to do. I have to say many many thanks to Mr. Lee Thomas whom I met through this forum , he helped me alot with this and was very patient answering quite a few emails from me. Thanks Lee!!
I still have to track down a vibration that Im getting, Im not sure at this point where it is but I think it could be a slightly bent motor pulley. Time will tell.
Overall this was fun and I would love to do it again!!
Now all I have to do it learn how to use it!!
