Purchased in summer of 2006 at a garage sale for C$45. The Metabo watchmaker's drill press was purchased the same weekend for C$4 at a separate garage sale. The funny thing is that I had been at this same garage sale the previous day and the Metabo had not been on display. The Metabo drill press stands 10 1/2" high.
Note the hole in the front of the Atlas press above the quill. This is obviously not supposed to be there but does not affect its useability. It looks as if it may have occurred in the early life of the drill press as the rough edges of the casting are spray painted the same colour as the press itself. The press also has only one handle, unlike any other Atlas drill presses on the OWWM site.
Powered by a Craftsman 1/2 hp split phase motor. 7.4 amp/1725 rpm.
Two on/off switches, one on the DP, the other on the motor.
Tag with serial numbers at rear of base, in front of column.
