I acquired this on a "Best Offer" from a E-Bay auction. Was manufactured in the Montgomery,PA. plant. It came with the Pattern Makers cross slide and Motor headstock. The motor was made by Rochester Motor Co.,it was called a Shunt Motor,1/2 H.P.,115 volts, single phase, with 24 speeds from 600 to 3000 RPM's.Sometime in its life someone gutted the inside of the motor and installed a pulley. They carefully cut out the back side of the motor housing for the belt to pass thur to a step pulley which was powered by another electric motor of more H.P. then the original motor was. They also made the cross slide powered by a lead screw that was run by a series of pullies and gears to step the speed down from the speed of the spindle. This was done with some very good machine work. The lathe came with two face plates, three toolrest, one toolrest holder and toolholder for the cross slide. This lathe appears in the eleventh edition catalog but not in this version in the fourteenth edition. This lathe came from a wealthy gentleman's personal woodshop in Auburn,NY.
