Comments:
We found this while cleaning out my late grandfather's shop. The 4" jointer had no motor attached. Fence is aluminum, non-adjustable outfeed table. Given the color, this is probably an early 1960's machine. I will be bringing this to my shop in the next few months, and will be able to get the model and serial numbers then. The jointer is little used--the paint is perfect. With new bearings, a motor, and a switch, this should be should be a fine addition.
Update: In July '08 I replaced the bearings, built a stand, snagged a motor & pulley, and put it to work. I didn't even have to get the knives sharpened--just a little honing. The infeed height adjustment works well when put together, but it was a major PITA to get it back after cleaning and de-rusting. Some goofball engineer just had to be different, rather than using a simple threaded rod mechanism.

The jointer works very well, except the fence is somewhat vulnerable to deflection and leaves black aluminum marks on some wood.
