Last year I sold a bunch of stuff on ebay for my uncle who was down on his luck. He offered to sell this drill press to me. I really didn't need one, but since he needed the money and he was family, I thought I'd help him out. I think I paid him two c notes. It has the production table. There is no serial number or model number on it, but based on what I've been scouring over on the site, I am guessing it is in the 1950's range. If someone knows otherwise, I'd take the info. I've been sitting on this dp for about 7 months so the last few days I've decided to get her up and running. I powered her up with household current - started slowly came up to speed, but didn't have power. I then took off to the motor shop. First place didn't want to touch it, second place said that it's probably wired 230. The motor tag wasn't on it so I had no idea. I'm just now really getting into the vintage equipment and am learning tons. I wired it up and put 230 to it and it's going great. I may spend a little time cleaning some rust off, but mainly just want to make it functional.
