THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE.
I bought this from a man in Pittsford, (suburb of Rochester), NY. I don't recall what I paid, but it was between $100-200. He didn't have a lot of history on the saw and we surmised that the previous owner who was a machinist had mostly used it to cut metal, or aluminum, altho' it was full of sawdust upon inspection. No broken/missing knobs, no cracks or dents. The "faucet knobs" holding the covers on, are original to the machine as far as I can tell, I rec'd all four of them w/the saw. I haven't seen other saws in person w/the same type of knobs, but I have seen photos of other saws w/them, and some other owners here at OWWM.org of these saws, have those knobs. In 2010 I replaced the rubber tires, finally, and have since replaced the tension and camber adjustment assembly located to the rear of the upper wheel. Prior to '10, I added a sawdust chute and model #882 lamp assembly. The motor, a GE 1/4 hp is a bit underpowered and will be replaced by a 1/3 hp Delta. I have no plans to strip, repaint and further restore the saw, the paint is what it is and there has never been any clown colored paint on it. There is very little rust, no cracks or damage needing a welder. Both of the wheels are of cast iron. More photos at this link: http://www.owwm.org/viewtopic.php?t=27897
Edit-a set of rails and fence have been added to this saw, along with a more period Delta miter gauge and a rollaround base. I really enjoy using this saw, I have to, its the largest (tallest) bs I could possibly fit in my cellar/shop due to the ceiling height. Blade length is 93 1/2". Photo updates to come.
