Bought this one from a man who bought it from his work place. No plates or tags, but it appears to be identical to two 8" Grinders found in the Photo Index under Black & Decker. Thus, it would make sense to presume that it's also a 3/4 HP motor in there. If someone knows of different models of 8" B&D grinders of that period but with different size of motor, please let me know. Looks like a good and strong machine, even tried to make it stall with a piece of 5/16" steel bar but, like the white bunny, it kept on going, and going, and going ...
It will undergo a good clean up and a few cosmetic changes as soon as I have a chance.
