Was used in the crating shop in the Quincy, MA shipyard.
It looks exactly the same as the saw in the 1888 catalog in this site - Acquired this saw in July 2003 from a guy that got it home and decided it was a little large for his shop. I had to take off the top guard and wheel to get it inside.
Originally flat belt. Now has a 3hp 3 phase motor - with extensive guards.
Has wood rims on the wheels
