Comments:
acquired this machine from a friend of my mothers friends husband. He was soon to be moving, and couldn't take it with him. I told him I was an avid woodworker, when he told me he had this fine machine. Apparently, it had been purchased by a well-known Connecticut tile worker, passed on to his nephew, sold to the man for $100 who offered it to me for free. I couldn't refuse a free machine and picked it up several months later after desperately needed room had been made in my garage. Only problem with it was a blown capacitor, which was a $10 repair, it fired up right after. I cleaned it up, although the pitting in the aluminum castings and way tube tarnish is still there, built a 2" thick solid clear oak bench, re-painted it, rubber coated the handles, oiled it and gathered accessories fo it such as a mortising kit, saw guard (By MKC tools, a custom 10ER fabricator)and other things. Setup is tedious, but the results are consistent and thorough.
