I picked this item up on eBay for $5, along with an 11" Companion Scroll Saw and 1/4hp motor on 6/24/2007. This is the first Companion No. 1 grinder that I have seen on this site. No restoration is necessary. It only has a small remnant of the Companion label on the left side of the machine. I am going to use this as a dedicated wire wheel machine, and am going to make it portable, the same as I had done with my Millers Falls polishing arbor. I just don't have the room in the shop any longer to make this stationary.
