Comments:
Bought from Uncle Sam and picked up at the Federal surplus center in Topeka, KS. Badge states that it was made for the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1948. 5hp 3ph Louis Allis motor. A second off button has been added just under the front rail, probably to bring it up to snuff for the safety inspectors. Has 1 1/8" arbor. The fence is nothing spectacular, but very rigid. The ball lever behind the blade height wheel is the mechanical blade brake which works surprisingly well. Saw guard has been modified slightly over the years. Just your basic big, heavy (1950 lbs.) tilting arbor saw.
