I found this drill press, a Goodell and Pratt #491, on CL. The owner was rebuilding a house on Tremont street in Boston. It was in the cellar and he didn't want to throw it away and thought someone would want it (ME). He wanted 15 dollars I gave him 20 'cause he held it for me.

I have seen many other G and P drill presses but none with an auto feed. Shortly after this DP was made Goodell and Pratt was bought by Millers Falls Tools. Millers Falls continued to make it but without the Auto. feed (MF # 10 Bench Drill).

This was my first restoration and it took the longest so far.
