Pictured is a universal jig / tennoning jig that fits a table saw's 3/4" mitre slot. Generally it is used to make joints, which require the end grain to be altered, makes difficult cuts much easier and safer. It can be also set up so that the clamping surface is perpendicular to the blade (see photo for that addional jig groove) for cutting box joints, etc. This was a garage sale item a few years back, cost was $2-3 and It works remarkably well.
