Bought this lathe from a fellow woodworker who lost his shop to a fire. Paid $150. This lathe was not directly damaged by fire/heat -but was obviously suffering from water damage and most parts were rusted and not moving. The original lathe stand was very weak and not at all useable. These stands from the manufacture were not very adequate to begin with. The lathe was totaly dissasembled, cleaned, primed and painted. (did not have the heart to paint another maching Gray -so found a nice easy on the eye auto blue) Installed new bearings, built new stand from some orphaned lathe legs I already had. The stand top is made of brazilian hardwood flooring. The original motor was in fine shape, and I added an after market switch. This lathe is complete except for tool rest lever, and banjo wrench. The lathe has good power, and is a real joy to use. Used a fenner link belt and really like the smooth operation and quietness of the over all set up. Enjoy.
