Comments:
The actual body of this jointer was given to me by my boss in exchange for some firewood. The cast iron base was found by my mother, and the motor was attached to a fleamarket air compressor.Nothing is period correct, and the tag on the motor is illegible, but this machine is one of my favorite woodworking tools. To my knowledge, the delta tag on this unit was used for a very short time between the old yellow decal and the delta rockwell logo, and is the only piece of information I have to date this.My wife lets me buy a saw on our anniversary, my boss sets me up with this, and my mother finds me a cast iron base.I really do know some high-toned people.
