This drill press is located in the machine shop of the boat shop I work in. It is a belt driven machine. I am unsure of the age but appears to be similar to other machines posted here dating to the 1880's. It works great. The geared lowering mechanism is nice. We usually set it and can take on other tasks while it drills the hole for you. In the words of my boss.. It has served well for what we paid for it. It's drilled about a bazillion holes.
