This shipsaw is located in the boat shop that I work in. It was put in place and then the building extension was built around it. We use is alot for a table, however several times a year it comes into it's own when sawing out huge white oak members for the boats. For example, we saw out the curved and beveled pieces that make up the transom framing as well as the stem and forefoot. The swing arm in the background allows us to hold up one end of the timber with a chainfall while the second person cranks the infeed or outfeed rollers and the third person manages the cut.
