Purchased saw a while back from woodworker who was getting cleaned out in a divorce action. Saw was in pretty good condition overall but needed work on tires, motor and switches and guides. Took her down and did all that I found necessary and painted with Hammerite gray and black. Has original 1HP motor with Yates American ID tag.
Foot brake is disconnected and I have no idea how it worked since none of the linkage is left. A distinguishing feature of these saws is the section of table that is hinged to lift and swing back out of the way for blade changing nice touch and works great. These saws and most of the J line equipment have the nice rounded lines and clean open bases for easy access etc. Had to replace upper wheel tilt knob with something from MSC which is similar but that's about it.
