This rugged little planer came from a local school and was in decent shape for
its age. I pulled it apart, replaced the cutterhead bearings, belts, knives and
jackscrews. The table had a very slight dish but not enough to warrant grinding.
I wanted a vintage look for this machine and decided to go with the earlier
powermatic green and remake the badges from scratch. This machine replaces a
chiwanese lunchbox screamer and is a welcome addition to my shop. Thanks to Bob
Vaughan and Chris Cothran for their help.
