This table saw belonged to my grand-father, who built houses in Vancouver, B.C.
As far as I know, he bought it new. My father then acquired it, and it was my older brother's and my job to haul this 425 lb. sucker two steps up out of the basement to cut firewood for the fireplace. I was about 12 years old at the time.
When my father passed away, my mother sold it to the foreman I worked for, for $250,00.
That was back in 1967. Last year, my old foreman called me up and asked if I wanted it back. He had just replaced the drive belt, which had been leather.
There is no identification on this saw in regards to date, model number, or serial number.
The switch box has the original G.E. 20 Amp fuses in it, dated 1918.
The G.E. motor has a patent date of May 12, 1925, and is 110 / 220 Volt single phase.
7.4 Amps @ 220 V, 14.8 Amps @ 110 V.
1-1/2 H.P.
Has the original cross cut fences, and the original ripping fence as well.
Too bad we painted it so many years ago.
