Part of the haul from a huge ship building concern (located at a large seaport) that had been closed for decades. Becasue of my interest in farm machinery and antique power usage and application, this machine is perhaps the most intersting I have acquired becasue of the way the flat belt power to the lower wheel is applied through a motor arrangement that has the motor on a track that follows the lower wheel to maintain belt tension as the saw is tilted. One of the other items from that haul is a large Ship Shaper router by Orton - I may get around to posting some photos of other items once the load (not talking car trailer here ;-) - a classic tractor is being added to the load at an interim staging point) makes it's way here.
