Comments:

This band saw was my grandfather's first real woodworking tool. I believe he bought it around the time my mother was born. My first woodworking experience (other than nailing scraps together to make swords and airplanes) happened on this saw.

My grandfather died in 1994, and all of his tools (he was a professional cabinet maker) sort of languished in his shop. A month before my grandmother died, she asked if there was anything left in the shop that I might be able to use. I jumped at the offer (more photos to follow).
