This is a very heavy piece of equipment. It measures slightly over 8-1/2' long x 31" deep x 58" tall. There are two patent dates cast in the bottom short edge and these are PAT AUG 14 1894 and PAT NOV 22 1898. We do not know if it is missing any major elements. The pieces that slide within the horizontal castings as seen from above have coarse-threaded openings approximately 1-5/8" in diameter. The cast blocks at the bottom of each of the two turning pipes are free-floating. Unknown history - it has been with the building for years. Originally, the building was a large lumber company. During the past 50 years, a machine shop operated in a different section and this space had various tenants.
