I have been looking for one of these Delta/Rockwell badged variable speed drill presses for a while. I didn't know that there was a 17" version of this DP until I spoted on that online auction site being sold locally. No shipping;>) It was a tool room DP at the Los Angeles Deparment of Water & Power based on what the seller told me. It must have been locked in a room of monkey's because it looked a little rough when I picked it up. I was able to switch it to single phase operation and replace the broken crank handles from my rat hole so I dodged the bullet on that one and its up and running good now.

Update: I installed a replacement speed control wheel that Tom Ellis found for me that has all 3 spokes intact.
