I acquired this Whitney shaper and some other machines from a custom furiture shop that is closing its doors in Brooklyn,N.Y.The shaper is direct drive, both motors are 4 h.p.,
220 volts,3 phase.Table size is 35" by 48",the spindles are 24" on center. It came with four throat plates and a lot of different size spindle spacers. The shaper is one quiet
running machine. It came with its huge original factory frequency converter (it must weigh
around one thousand pounds itself)and i plan to install a new VFD.I really like the small size of this model double spindle and how quiet the direct drive shapers are.
