This beast has 3 15Hp 3 phase motors. One for upper knives. One for lower knives and one for feed. It has a tag from the U.S.Navy stating the year of purchase (1941)and amount of purchase ($7101.59). As you can see from the photo, it has a bit of rust but is in good running condition. I spent the first 3 days troubleshooting the start switches and solenoids...but it runs great now. The infeed has 4 speeds..speed one is about what i am used to when using a planer..rather slow. Speed 4 almost throws the boards out.
It is a work in progress at Delmont Sawmill in Delmont New Jersy (856-785-1018).
