Snagged my first hunk of decent iron at an estate sale. After removing the motor to move it, taking covers off to take photos and re-working the motor mounts, the question hit me, "Where's the saw dust?" There was only a thin film present. Tires have slight cracking on edges. No play in either wheel. Sharp blade. I'll be looking for other signs that this machine is basically, N.O.S. No decals anywhere, not even a partial or an outline. No badges. Castings all start with,
. Heavy dude, but I can still 'rassle it. Will re-tire and do complete adjustments. Motor is a Delta sleeve bearing, double shaft 1/2 HP at 1,725 rpm. Shaft cover is cool, bullet-shaped wood. Stand appears original. As soon as it cuts its first piece of wood, I'm saying "Adios" to my Reliable, 14" Chiwaneese bandsaw. Photos are, 'as received.' Since there are so many NO. 890s in the photo index, I thought that I would use shots of details not often shown.
