Number Three in the "W.I.D.o.M.S.V." series. Found this nice little shaper at an auction. Interesting situation: Fella had a lot of tools. He was not married to his goilfrind/co-habitor of the homestead. He up and left/disappeared/mighta been abducted by aliens. She retained a lawyer and auctioned everything that was his. Bingo.
I homed in on this. Neat drum switch (cat 49-316 $11.50 in 1950 Homecraft catalog) and the machine itself was $69.50 in the same catalog. One thin C-note. It runs very smoothly. No table insert or wrenches. No cutters, except a big honkin' green one.
The previous owner has added some sheet metal on sides and a funnel at bottom to aid in dust collection. This was done fairly neatly. Another interesting note: With the shaper came a folder with about 20 pages....from old Delta/Homecraft catalogs....downloaded/printed from this website.
