Inspected and bought in front of truck headlights on the eve of Christmas Eve. Included an array of face plates (not all of which fit this lathe), rests, and tools.
The spindle threads need the attention of a thread file. This sports 1"-12 tpi threads, common to Walker-Turner and no one else that I know of.
Powered by its original 1/2 hp WT motor mounted on an interesting quick release tension system for faster speed changes.
Update: I tore down the headstock spindle today and found that the outboard side had a single Fafnir 205PP and on the inboard was one Federal 1205FF. Neither appear to be oringinal (the Fafnir certainly isn't), but appear to be correct x-refs to whatever was there before. Also, the races are wide enough for double bearings on both sides. I suppose the previous owner needed to save a few bucks when the previous replacement(s) was done.
