One Saturday I was getting my hairs cut and for the ride home I decided to take an alternate route. This led to my seeing a sign and eventually with my parting with $200.

The saw is the famed "Junior" Unisaw also called the "Baby" Unisaw. With the exception of the hand wheels, the blade raising/blade tilting worm gears and some minor parts it shares little with the Unisaw. The design is typical of a contractor's saw with the trunnions hung from beneath the table but with the motor below in lieu of out the back.

In it's present state and condition the hand wheels run very smooth and the blade raises and tilts with the same fast action as the Unisaw.

I had to remove the table extensions in order for it to fit in the car.

The motor control is an after market switcheroo but it's actually vintage of the period of the saw. When I first saw the saw I thought that the aluminum piece hiding the original switch opening (left upper to the switch shown) was something someone had cobbled together. As it turns out if is the original switch cover. This saw was sold with a toggle switch but the No. 132 and LTA switch box was offered as an option.

I also have the original blade guard.

Parts for this saw are marked TAM.

Presently the saw sits awaiting resurrection.
