Comments:
I bought this machine gummit surplus from the Corps of Engineers. Aside from the copious glopped on multiple layers of paint and ample surface rust, it's pretty complete. One broken lock handle on optional table tilt mechanism and missing original saddle holdown apparatus. Working with no schematic, it took a full day to get it completely dissassembled to begin restoration.

A chip blower was offered as an optional upgrade. Mine had a dead motor, non-repairable (case tack welded shut at manufacture), forcing a search for a replacement. I found Grainer still offers the OEM Dayton motor and squirrel cage w/housing, available in either 115V or 230V, models 4C440 and 2C914, respectively. The original on mine was the 230V version run off a small 7.5 V.A. Osborne Transformer Corp. step down transformer. Get the 230V version and you can do without the transformer. Add a mounting flange and a funnel with 4" diameter flange plus downtube and you would have the complete blower assembly.
